Flax and cottonized fibre
Flax fibre and cottonized flax fibre for blended and pure linen yarns. Suitable for fabrics, knitwear and non-woven materials. Blends with cotton, viscose, wool and other fibres are possible — tailored to your task.
Cottonized flax fibre
Cottonized flax fibre is similar to cotton in its properties. It is produced from short flax using modern technology. It is used in blended yarns and non-woven materials.
Physical-mechanical specification of cottonized flax fibre
| Type of fibre | Composition | Trash, no more than, % | Linear density, tex | Fibre length, mm | Moisture, no more than, % | Bale weight, kg (average) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Normal cottonine | 100% flax | 2 | ≤2 ±5% | 30–35 | 12 | 200 |
| Long cottonine | 100% flax | 6 | ≤2 ±5% | 40–45 | 12 | 200 |
The fibre is packed in bales tied with metal strapping or PP tape, each with an information label.
Long scutched flax fibre
Long scutched flax fibre is a natural fibre obtained by deep mechanical processing of flax stalks. Grades 8 to 14 under the standard are the most sought after. The higher the grade, the finer and stronger the fibre, which makes it possible to produce finer yarn. Long flax fibre is used to produce quality yarn on the flax spinning system and is applied in table and bed linen, suiting, tarpaulin and awning fabrics.

Short scutched flax fibre
Short scutched flax fibre is a natural fibre obtained after the primary processing of flax. Its quality and applications are determined by the grade from 2 to 6 under the standard: the lower the grade, the coarser the fibre and the more impurities it contains. It is used to produce low-count yarn by dry spinning, from which sacking, packaging and tarpaulin fabrics are made. It can also be used to produce cottonized fibre.
