Combed yarn
Made from long fibres (35–70 mm) that are carefully combed to remove short fluff. Long-staple (fine-fibre) cotton is also used. The yarn is fine, smooth, with a slight sheen, very strong and hardly shrinks. Used for quality underwear, shirts and dresses.
Carded (ring) yarn
The basis for most textile products. Produced from medium-length fibres (27–35 mm) with preliminary cleaning. Softer and looser than combed yarn — a practical choice for everyday fabrics.
Open-end (OE) yarn
Produced by rotor spinning from medium-staple cotton, fibres 20–27 mm. Used in the mid and low price segments: home textiles, workwear and technical fabrics.
